Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training Course (Bosiet)

In the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) course offered by Oceanic Momentum group, you will learn the essential skills needed to handle various emergency situations while working offshore. BOSIET serves as an introductory course for offshore survival training, leading to more specialized and advanced emergency training. This training is aimed at both current offshore facility workers and newcomers to the offshore industry. Regardless of your experience level, the course provides fundamental knowledge about living and working in an offshore environment and enhances your ability to manage dangerous situations.

Over three days, you will receive training in:
  • 1. General Safety: Learn the essential safety protocols required for high-risk offshore environments, including common emergency scenarios, first aid, and evacuation procedures.

  • 2. Escape Techniques: Develop the skills to escape from various confined and irregular spaces on an offshore facility. This part also covers helicopter safety and boarding procedures.

  • 3. Sea Survival: Acquire critical survival skills for situations where you must abandon your platform or vessel and end up in the sea. Hands-on training with survival equipment prepares you for extended periods at sea.

  • 4. Firefighting:Understand firefighting techniques specific to offshore environments, ensuring you can effectively respond to fire emergencies.

The BOSIET course is crucial for both experienced offshore workers and those new to the field. Different countries have varying regulations, so it's important to consult a safety officer at your workplace to determine if BOSIET is necessary for you. Often, BOSIET training is required by state laws and company policies for offshore workers.

Enroll in Oceanic Momentum's BOSIET course to ensure you are well-prepared for the challenges of working offshore.
